After compiling and at the instant writing starts to a DVD disk I ALWAYS get an error msg saying that "The current write operation will be aborted" (as if I had cancelled). I encoded with TMPGEnc and the total size is less than 4 GB, for DVD, and it simultates fine. If I author with MyDVD it works fine .... but SpruceUp won't let me write to a DVD for some reason. It will write to the hard drive. I don't see any way to change the write to disk speed either thinking that might be a possibility. Could it be a problem with XP?

One uses SpruceUp or it's Big brother Maestro to compile the files.

Use Nero or your favorite burning software to write disk from hard drive.

Remember SPRUCE-UP is no longer made or updated..Sure...it's supported,
but many new drives have come out since the program was last updated...So don't expect it to write to the burner directly unless its an A03 or SR-201 for AUTHORING

Thanks guys for the tips ....... yep, my drive is an Pioneer A05 so I guess that explains that. But since I did read that you don't lose the compile I'll have to learn how to use Nero (I have 5.502 I think) to do the burn. I think I saw a guide someplace on this site so I'll check .... or if either of you know the guide :P that would certainly save some time ....
