  1. i´m trying frameserving and subtitles with virtualdub.

i have used smartripper and copied the entire dvd files to hd.
i have used dvd2avi and obtained d2d & wav files.

    according to https://www.videohelp.com/sefy/?id=frameserv3.html, it says:

"Step 1(a/b) - Click on "File" then "Open video file" and select your source (VFAPI) file"

QUESTION: WHICH VFAPI file is this?

    OBS:
    1) virtualdub doent accept the vob files
    2) virtualdub doesnt accept the d2v file from dvd2avi
    3) virtualdub doens accept the avi file from vfapi converter applied to the d2v file above.

  2. A shot in the dark, but did you try turning the aviproxy on or off, located in the virtualdub install directory and then trying it? haha, question with a question... me, I'm still havin trouble getting VFAPIConvEN.exe to open my d2v file...maybe I'll try putting the program in the same directory as vdub... Anyone think that'll work?

  3. yes! aviproxy=off plus other different tries and it worked fine!

i suggestion to Sefy: you should indicate that a "vfapi" file is obtained with VFAPIConv soft.

    thanks & regards,

  4. First, i'm glad to hear you managed to solve the problem!
Secondly, this is the kind of suggestions/fixes i'd like users to tell me about!

I am currently working on a v2.2 of the Guide, and i've already covered
that point which you mentioned, i've even completly changed internal links on the FrameServing pages, so you can link directly from one to another.

You can see the newer updated page of VirtualDub here:
    http://www.sefy.dtdns.net/guides/frameserv3.html
and notice the altered change which was made, I hope it explains better:

Step 1(a/b) - Click on "File" then "Open video file" and select your source
(Fake AVI you created using VFAPI Converter) file, then click on "Video"
and select "Filters" if you want to add the VobSub filter.

Anyone who wishes to "beta" test the newer guide and point me to errors
    is most welcomed: http://www.sefy.dtdns.net/guides/

Because it's still under progress, the webpage will be slow and sometimes
it may not even be accessible, my apologies![/url]
    Email me for faster replies!

    Best Regards,
    Sefy Levy,
