I´m using TMPGEnc to try convert my divx movies to mpg so Ill be able to burn it into vcd but Something is wrong. when its finished the mpg file is over 2,6 gig and no sound on it. Im using TMPGEnc12a cause TMPGEnc12i wont open my divx movie. I only get a wrong message saying cannot open or unsupported, Works fine in 12a exept for the big files.

  2. Well first the size is depends on the runtime of the source. The if you're using the standard VCD template that's 1150kbit/s. The size of the source does NOT matter.

As for why there's no sound that's a little harder. When you load the DivX in TMPGenc does a souce come up for both the video input and audio input? Can you play the file in media player?

  4. You can also frameserve the DiVX from VirtualDub to TMPGenc. You can even use some filters this way. If not set video and audio to direct stream copy.

    Good luck.

  5. Had the same problem with converting divx to MPEG with TMPEGenc. 12j...
See my post in the conversion section of the forum....

Tried to convert Divx (Hannibal)to MPEG with TMPGEnc.
It's a movie in two parts..converting the first part took about 10 hours because TMPGEnc. kept on converting for hours when the movie was already ended...the last frame of the movie was in the 'viewer' for hours

After using "Merge&Cut" I had a good video MPEG-file but no audio....????
Everything looked OK, the audio source was listed
    and the original source was:
    MPEG-1 640x352 23,976fps CBR 1150kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 192kbps..so I loaded it as a VideoCD(NTSCFilm)

    can anyone help...

T.T...By the way..download the kristal studio codec..it helped me to open my divx/avi files in v. 12j..but first deinstall the codec on your computer..
