...here's the solution:
(Only WinNT/2000/XP)
As example I will show you how to run CCE with less-than-normal processor priority. This *won't* make CCE run slower, BUT will give priority to other programs should you decide to start them, the computer will respond much faster!!(eg Email or surfing this forum!)
Note: To really make good use of this, you should consider using a second harddisk for all video-files, because windows needs clean & fast access to the first HD in order to run faster!
* Go to the command line using start / execute and enter CMD (return)
* Use edit c:\cce.cmd
* in the editor enter following line:
start /belownormal "C:\program files\CCE\CCE.EXE"
(of course change the path to where your CCE is installed!)
* Save this file
* Go back to windows
* Right-click on the desktop and choose new / shortcut
* As location choose C:\cce.cmd
* Name the shortcut "CCE Low Priority"
* Run CCE using the shortcut
That's it! :P Hope this will do some good, you might try it with PIC7 as well (DVD2one doesn't seem to hog the resources...)
