  1. Hey, Wassup Y'all??
Got A Problem, When I Try To Convert A SVCD NTSC To SVCD PAL
It Look Likes The Frame Just Flipping Out.
It Goes Like Frame 1-2-3-4-3-4-5-6-7-8-7-8-9..........The Frame Just Jumps Back And Continues Playing.
Anyone Know The How To Solve The Problem??

    Thankz In Advance!!!!!

  4. with forced film on hit F5 let the footage play for minute or so

    hit Escape key

    look at frames coded value
    look at frames played value

if the coded value is greater than the played value then the footage is 29.976 fps NTSC (not 3:2 pulled down NTSCFilm)

to deal with that footage you'll need to:

1 set forced film off (frmaes coded should now match frames played)

    2 save project

3 load up TMPEg and in advanced settings tab choose inverse telecine option

use the auto method (chances are it'll be very simple telecine thats been done) check the results make sure the frames kept are jaggies free and the frames dropped are the stripey ones

save at ridiculously high CQ_VBR bitrate to minimise the artefacts as this is intermediate stage

you now have a 23.976 fps version with the telecining removed

reencode at 25fps at your normal bitrate by ticking donotrateconvert in advanced options while all other settings are PAL

reencode the audio using besweetGUI with NTSC>PAL option checked

9 times out of ten should sort it unless the video is fully interlaced

  5. What's TeleCine By The Way??

  6. think of telecine as a way of creating 29.976 fps ntsc video from 23.976 fps Film source material the extra frames are hard coded in the video 'in between' the real 23.976 frames instead of just flags in the footage telling player to do the same

in a film clip you'ld just ignore the flags and be back dealing with the film rate footage with a telecined clip you need to physically remove the unwanted frames by doing an inverse telecine

riidiculously high bit rate means crank cq_vbr settings up as high as they'll go

You'll generate a file thats probably larger than would even fit on a DVD but as its just an intermediate stage to get you a clean 23.976 fps version of the footage it doesnt matter (IF your writing the file to an NTFS drive uder Win 2k or Win XP - if you're writing it to a FAT 32 drive make sure the file isnt any bigger than 4gig)

Reason for doing that is so that you minimise any noise in the footage due to re-encoding as you have to encode it again after that to convert to PAL and the more noise you create in the file at the temporary stage the harder it'll be for yuour final PAL version to maintain a decent quality

  7. Can't I Use The Noise Reduction Option?

  8. Could It Be DirectX9 Or Windows Media Player 9, Or Some Codec Conflict Which Is F*cking Up My Video Filez, Cause It Doesnt Make Sense I Tried To Convert The Same Video File At My Friend's Place And He Didn't Had That Frame-Jump-Back Thingy (Using The DVD2AVI Guide From This Site)
