I'm trying to connect vcr to pc, but have not buy it yet. I'm not sure if it work neither. Is RT2500 a firelink cable or is it a usb. Can it be use in Mac/Pc? Is there also a possible way to capture?
Help will be thankful.

According to this site( http://www.cddimensions.com/dvd/mat-rt2500-kitn.asp ) the Matrox RT-2500 has the following inputs/outputs. 1394 firewire, composite video, and s-video. For NTSC, PAL, and SECAM. But at $700 that alot of money for a card.

will it work if i use the digital camcorder to do the work?
ex:
vcr --] digital camcorder --] pc

It will only work if your digital camcorder has a passthrough feature (many Sony and Canons have this feature). You also need a firewire card. Remember that DV takes 13 gig per hour. Firewire cards are worth $20-50$.
