  1. I am unable to make a VCD compatible MPEG out of certain XVID and DIVX files with VBR audio. On occasions with paticular video files it does work by extracting audio with VirtualDub then encoding with TMPGENC as normal; however most of the time the VBR audio which I extract with VirtualDub matches not with the video file - the audio file is actually longer than the original video file whence it came...

Is there any way in which I can solve this problem?

    Thankyou

  2. Try using goldwave (www.goldwave.com) to extract the audio. This sometimes works. If the length is still incorrect you can also use goldwave to stretch or shrink the audio as required.
