  1. Hello. I'm having problems with Ulead Video Studio 5 and my JVC DV camcorder when I try to record back to the camcorder. I followed all the steps described in the Ulead tutorial, but when I push the record button nothing happens: the buttons are grayed and they are enabled again after the time of the movie is completed, but the recording doesnt start on the camcorder. Also the preview on the JVC camcorder doesn't work. I have directx 9 on WinME. On the other hand , the camcorder is normally controlled by Video Studio for Play, FFW and REV actions.
I'd be really grateful if you could give meI followed all the steps described in the tutorial, but when I push the record button nothing happens: the buttons are grayed and they are enabled again after the time of the movie is completed, but the recording doesnt start on the camcorder. Also the preview on the JVC camcorder doesn't work. I have directx 9 on WinME. It is interesting to notice that the preview on the PC monitor also doesnt work when the camcorder is connected. The camcorder is normally controlled by Video Studio for Play, FFW and REV actions.
Does anybody have the same problem. Can you suggest another Software where I can try the same operation?
    Thanks a lot,
    Dino

    dido,

are you sure your camcorder has DV IN as well as DV OUT? You can only record back to your camcorder tape if it has DV IN.

  3. You can try to export with DVIO. For this program, you must press the record button on the camcorder (it might be a different record button than the one you normally use, look in your camcorder's manual). DV in must be enabled. You should be able to see the video on your camcorder's LCD screen.
