  1. Sorry but i have read all about bad frames and Virtual Dub but I can not find this option.
Where's the option to scan for bad frames in Vdub?
I have downloaded the pack of VDub, VdubAc3 and Vdub Mp3 but I could not find this option
    Am I a stupid?

  2. look under the video stream heading in VDub and at the bottom is "Scan video streams for errors"

  3. VDub then marks bad frames as "masked." Does this exclude them from subsequent direct stream and/or full processing audio and video extractions? Or should the masked frames be manually deleted?

  4. The vdub_mp3 will say "check video for freezes". Choose this and v-dub will scan for bad frames. When it finishes you will get a message saying it is finished scanning for bad frames. You must then get the list of bad frames from a bad frame log vdub creates and manully delete them yourself. Vdub does not delete them for you when it scans, it only creates a log of which frames are bad.

  5. Oh Thanks !!!!
    I thought I was going crazy !!
I've got AC3, Mp3 and the normal version of Vdub but I couldn't see this option.
So "scan for bad frames"= check video for freezes ?
I can only do it by this Mp3 version?

Which version of Vdub you should use depends on your source file.
In regular Vdub, after you have scanned for bad frames (under the video tab), set both audio and video to direct stream copy and then save the Avi. All "masked" frames will be deleted in the process.

In Vdub-MP3 you must edit out the bad frames yourself. Here's how: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=142555

    Hope that helps.
