Ok.. I downloaded a movie that's been split onto 3 disks. There are 3 .cue files... and 2 .bin files per cue.

The first .bin file from each pair is like 600kb, and the second is 700MB. I can open the first one in WinISO, and it says it has a 700MB MPEG in it.. the second one won't open. I can load the cue into Daemon Tools, or burn it with Nero and everything works out fine.

The way I figure it, whoever made these files put the file structure of the SVCD into the first bin from each pair, and the actual data into the second bin. At least, that's what I think.

Does anyone have any idea how I can combine the 2 bins? Or at least, how I can extract the mpeg? The mpeg plays if I load the cue into Daemon Tools, but I can't copy the MPEG or open it directly... only if I point DVD software at the virtual drive.

I'm so very stuck. Thanks for any help.

  2. I'm not too sure what they used to create the disc image, but it is a little bit unusual.

If you want to recreate and single CUE/BIN image, then try the following.

Mount the image with Daemon-Tools as a virtual disc.

Then, use CDRWin (http://www.goldenhawk.com ) to extract a new CUE/BIN image from the virtual disc.

I used WinISO to make an ISO of the mounted image, but then right at the end it said it couldn't access file and quit on me... but the ISO still came out. I extracted the MPEG, and at the end, it said "Can not read from source file!"

But the MPEG still came out, and when I opened it, the movie played. However, when I tried to make an SVCD out of it in Nero, Nero said it wasnt standard compliant.

    Wtf?

  5. This has me a bit curious.....

Have you opened the "cue" files in a text editor like notepad ?
It may give some clue as to the structure. They usually look something
    like the following.

    FILE "xxxx.bin" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

xxx representing your bin files name....

The original cue files didn't work at all, so I had to edit them.

Here's an example of what the first one looks like now.

    FILE "SVCD_001_01.bin" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
    FLAGS DCP
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    FILE "SVCD_001_02.bin" BINARY
    TRACK 02 MODE2/2352
    FLAGS DCP
    INDEX 01 00:00:00

  7. Interesting....not seen a cue like that before.

Try opening with Isobuster. It should let you look directly at files inside of bin as well as extract them.

let us know what you find out

Same result as in WinISO. It lets me open the first file, and shows the data, but won't let me save the mpeg. Second bin won't open.

When I open the cue, it sees 2 tracks. The first has the file structure, and the second is empty. But the first is 0kb, and the 2nd is 600MB.

Whoever made these bins/cues should be shot.

  11. Did you try using CDRWin on the mounted image? How about CloneCD?
