I have been trying to encode a Divx .avi file in Ulead Movie Factory 2 and have been gettin audio sync problems.

Everything will look and sound great until about 3/4 of the way through the show and then the audio will be WAY out of sync. In the MPEG settings, I chose Mpeg audio instead of LPCM. Would this make a difference?

I tried encoding it in TMPGenc first, then burning with MF2, but it kept trying to re-encode the file before burning, so I decided to just try to let MF2 do it all. It looked like this was going to work great (fairly fast and very easy), but on each of the shows I tried authoring, the audio sync issue showed up about 3/4 of the way through.

    Thanks for all advice.

    Wow...did I stump everyone here?

Has anyone been able to convert and burn a Divx .avi file using Movie Factory 2?

    Thanks in advance.

I can get MF to encode okay with most avi's, but I am currently having problems with one which has been encoded @ 30 fps.

I use TMPGenc to encode it to a mpeg (this works - no audio/sync issues), but when ULMF2 converts it to the dvd format, audio goes progressivly out of sync.

I can only put this down to the source being 30 fps.

A real pain in the ar**!

Anybody know how to fix this?

  4. Try to seperate the sound with VDub. Then convert the divx-avi with TmpgEnc with the divx-avi for video and the seperated wav-file for audio.
This worked fine for me and I never had sync-problems...
