As these two products are such hot topics and some threads are getting far too long, I was thinking it would be useful if they could be given their own forum categories, or sub-categories (if possible) under DVD to DVDR?

I don't want main forums for specific tools....maybe subforums. But it requires yet another phpbb mod....

Understandable - it's easy for us asking for things when we don't have to do the work to create it.
However, I do believe though that sub-categories for particular high profile tools is very useful - similar to what they do over at Doom9 (I'm not comparing, as this is still the primary forum I use).
With sub-cats, I personally find it easier for finding answers and, as it is a particular category on a tool that you are more interested in, or have a specific problem with, then you tend to read a through a lot more threads, therefore learning more and passing that knowledge on to others in other threads.
