I've captured a two hour movie from a VHS tape using Virtualdub with the PicVideo mjpeg codec at quality 19.
I used TMPGEnc Plus to encode at a VBR of 4500 and the movie itself looks wonderful, but where any text appears, ie titles/credits at the beginning and end, the words shake up and down slightly.
It's not such a problem on the movie I've just done but I guess any movies with subtitles is gonna' look real bad!
I did the same with Friends Series 9 (captured off digital tv, not VHS) and the same thing happened.
Anyone know what causes it and what the remedy is?
Many thanks,
Will
