DVD-RW, how do i use it?

How do i test a movie by burning to a dvd-rw? I burnt a dvd-rw in nero, but it looks like it did a full burn how can i erase, or format it? I tried the erase option, but it does not work.

Erase your DVD-RW with a program that you would use for a CDRW such as Clone 4.0, just select the fast erase option to burn off the TOC and its empty ( effectively ) again.
