  1. Hi

I've got some films xvid/ac3, run them through v-dub (mp3 freeze). Deleted the bad frames and saved a direct stream. Extracted the audio
and saved to wav. Then run this through tmpg, and still the film is out of sync. If I try to put the audio through headac3he to convert to ac3 the program can't find chunk, if I try to change the file name it becomes unstable???????

    any ideas kb

Make sure you save out the ac3 audio using vdub direct stream copy. Then use ac3fix.exe (available from the tools section) to fix the ac3 file so that headac3he will recognise it.

  3. Hi bugster

Did what you said, now the headac3he is recognising it but it will not load. It comes up with the dialog box "could not find data chunk"
Have you got any idea why?

    many thanks kb

Should have mentioned that I'm converting to pal, mpg 1- vcd.
Also where you change the bitrate in tmpg, can't seem too change
the rate to best quality? It just does not come active the drop down box!

    Any more advice

    Many thanks kb

Before clicking start, click load and select unlock.mcf from the TmpGenc extras folder. All options can now be changed.

  7. Ok try this. 1st load the VCD template (load and select the PAL VCD template). Then click load again and load the unlock template. This should allow you to mess with settings all you want, but from a know starting point.

  8. Hi

Still can't sort out the problem, load the templets and still it stays the same. If I could only find a way to load the wav file into headac3he and convert I think the audio would be in sync,I think when the file in v-dub
saves as wav it's still ac3 could this be so?

    Any more ideas

many thanks so far fro your imput
