There is two ways to load templates in TMPGenc. At the main screen:

    1. In the bottom right corner you can click load then select; VideoCD 1246kbps (NTSC).mcf, VideoCD 1246kbps (NTSCfilm).mcf or VideoCD 1246kbps (PAL).mcf.

    2. At the top left corner click file and then click project wizard. The template options are listed in the window on the left, select Video-CD; NTSC, NTSCfilm, or PAL.

Pick the one that corresponds to what TV system is used in the country that you live (PAL or NTSC) and then if you live in a country that uses NTSC you additionally need to determine wether your source is recorded at the NTSCfilm framerate.

  3. my suggestion would be to use the tmpgenc wizard.. and it will guide you nicely thru the vcd burning process. The only choice newbies get stuck on is the 1st which is vcd or vcd film. vcd is standard and 29.9fps and vcd film is 23.9fps
