I used the CALC tool here on site to determine bitrate for a 1hour 25 minute Show, The Lone Ranger Movie from WB. The Encoded film is 3.97gb. In Nero vision and EasyCD 6 both programs state the file is too big for the DVD.
What gives? if a dVD is 4.7gb why wouldnt a 4gb movie fit?

I have never used either of the programs you mention but my guess would be that they are converting the audio to PCM (uncompressed). Take a good look at all the options to see if they will allow you to use the mp2 audio in the encoded mpeg file (note that mp2 support is not required for NTSC region DVD players). If not try a different authoring package such as Ulead DVD Workshop or Movie factory. Demo's are available for download and both support mp2 audio in NTSC DVD's.
Hope this helps. -
downloaded ulead and it worked. I used the nero for a few other projects also and they worked. but I like Ulead so far.
