I have a 320x240 avi with framerate 14.265 fps. My standalone DVD is very tolerant of non-standard MPEG, so I would think that ideally the best thing would be to convert it to an MPEG with 14.265 fps....but I notice that TMPGEnc has a pop-up menu with about 20 different framerates, but does not allow for a custom framerate. So should I use the the closest available option (14.985 fps)??

Also, I have an avi with framerate 29.971. This is very close to, but not exactly NTSC. I would really prefer not to do a framerate conversion. What is the best way to convert this to MPEG?

I notice TMPG has a "do not framerate conversion" option. Will using this lead to an audio synch problem?

  2. Try using the NTSC 29.-- fps thats near enough as when it is doubled its virtually the same
