  1. Hi,

Ive got a movie in SVCD format .mpg - i want to open it up in premiere so that i can join/edit the files. It keeps giving me an error - i guess my version doesn't support it. (ver 6.0) is there a plug in or a patch for it?

    Thanks

    John

  3. Is it possible to edit MPEG2 in premiere 6.5 without converting to an AVI first?

I want to record TV and kill commercials later, but whats the point in capturing in anything less than RAW AVI if I have to convert to that before editing anyway?

    thanks

Ulead Media Studio does a fairly tidy job of editing MPEG2.

  6. The following apps support MPEG-2 Editing:

    Ulead Media Studio Pro 6.5 & 7.0
    Ulead VideoStudio 6.0 & 7.0
    SoFo Vegas 4.0

Adobe Premiere 6.5, although publishing to MPEG-2 cannot edit a compliant MPEG-2 stream. Hopefully 7 will catch up and offer this feature.

    Regards,
    Ivan
