  1. I have the same problem as other posted here with DVD's, ejecting with no preview and the marker set to 00:00:00. mplayer boots twice and then nothing. and the font can not be found.

I have read about the no spaces and rebooting, but no luck yet getting it work with any DVD's in my collection.

Is there gonna be a demo off any newer versions?

    Thanks for any replies.

  2. If I rip a DVD and it completes, then try to do the next one it will do what you're describing. Everytime I quit Disco, eject the DVD and try it again, then it works.

Logging out fixes this as well on my machine.

Try reinstalling Forty-Two with the latest version, as Disco uses the support files of Forty-Two.

I should say that I'm ripping to a second internal IDE drive, with no spaces in the name paths anywhere.

  3. Ok,

Got the 1.5 version of 42 and had to update because of the time thing, so dropped the 1.5.2 updater in my applications folder. forogt, during the installation ran the supprt stuff and also made sure that i deleted the old 42 and application support files before i re-installed.

same thing. no font found and 2 mplayer boots and the DVD comes out with 0mb made.

am ripping with a pioneer 105 to my main HD no spaces.

also i have soundsticks, read somewhere where usb audio could have problems with mplayer, but only when the sound goes out, not while they are working properly.

  4. Disco has a bug where it will not save to a Startup Disc, this has been fixed for registered users, which I highly recommend for everybody, there will be a fix out for the demo in the next few days I think, but for now, save to another hard drive or external drive on your computer, make sure your paths have no spaces. example, name your drive Zeppelin and save to that.

  5. Does it have to be external, I tried a Zip disk and still got the same thing.

    Thanks for the replies!

I tried saving over a OS X.2.3 File Sharing network to another computer in the house. No luck. Am looking to buy full version though, to get the support and to support Kai and Co.

Alas, don't have $25 bucks laying around I can spare. I have a huge choir trip to New York next week and need every spare buck. Expensive town!

  7. Well I just sent Kai my $25 smackers and lo and behold it is working now and everything is fine and dandy.

So looking forward to big and better things to come out of disco.

Everyone should put down the 25 and help them make this a defining mac app, even though it is already.

Thanks again for a great app,

    Rob
