  1. I just downloaded the trial version of IuVCR a couple of days ago and was trying out the schedule feature. I was trying to record a 5 min. test clip. I set the duration in the scheduler to 5 min. and set the time to start. The capturing began at the time scheduled, but didn't stop after 5 min. I had to stop it manually within the program. Has anybody else had this problem. Thanks for any help you can give me.

  2. I did some more testing on this problem and found if I go directly to the Scheduled Tasks in the control panel and to the setting tab there was a choice to stop the task if it runs for a set amount of time. I selected this option and this will stop the program. It is not a very clean way of doing it but it works. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If you have found a way to make it work within IuVCR please let me know. Thanks.

IUVCR's schedualer SUCKS. PowerVCR is so much better for timed recordings ( but it only caps in MPEG1/2 ). I use IUVCR, and have no problem with captures. I usually capture from say... 7:59 to 9:01 for a 1 hour show at 8 O'clock. I also use 'Force Channel', since it sometimes defaults to channel 1 or some other channel.

  4. Thanks, Gazorgan. I will give PowerVCR a look. I was happy with the quality and stability of IuVCR, but I would have to agree with you on the Scheduler. Thanks again for the info.

  5. I've been using VDstart Pro. I don't like it, but it is reliable.

  6. Thanks, Darryl. I'll look at that as well. The PowerVCR Gazorgan mentioned looks like a good program from the trial version. I do like that it records directly to MPEG 1 & 2. The IuVCR captures AVI, which is quite large (13gb/hr). I am burning most of the files to VCD so PowerVCR will cut out the conversion step. I'll check out the options on VDStart Pro and then repost. Thanks.

  7. You need iuVCR version 4.7.2.285 to get the scheduler to work.
Just download the trial once more, history not updated on homepage.
I capture directly to Xvid 800-1000 bitrate with AMD xp2400.
This is the best capture program ever.

  8. Thanks b33. I went to the website and downloaded the file again and it worked perfectly. They still haven't updated the site yet. Version 4.7.0.282 is shown as current. I checked the version after downloading and it was 4.7.2.285. Thanks again for the help.
