  1. I'm using DVD Decrypter to rip, and prassi primo to write. I've been having problems ( so I thought ) changing region 1 ' THE ONE ' to region 2 or region free then writing with prassi, and I've just ripped region 2 ' Cats & Dogs '. When I try to write either I get an error. I've only just discovered the error log, in both instances the error is actually ' VIDEO_TS or AUDIO_TS wrong format '. I could understand getting that error with the region 1 disc, as I am having trouble making it region free, but why am I getting this with the region 2 disc?. I haven't altered anything in Decrypter, and have copied many DVD's this way. How come my rips are the wrong format all of a sudden?. I use the rip movie files only method with Decrypter.

    help appreciated

  2. if you are just ripping the movie only, are you keeping the original video_ts.ifo ?
if so prassi will find a fault cause it will be looking for the menu and extras aswell and cause it cant find them it will throw up an error.

you need to get just the main movie vobs and create new ifos with ifoedit.

  3. Thanks for the help thingimijig, Yes, I am ripping just the main movie files with Decrypter, I have backed up many DVD's this way though, and never had to touch any IFO's. Could it be just certain DVD's that you have to play around with the IFO's?. Does DVD2ONE remake the IFO because some rips I've put through DVD2ONE to remove subtitles/foreign languages etc, but I have definately just ripped the movie files on some and written them out with Prassi ( I'm 99% sure anyway! ).

By the way, how do you make a new ifo in ifoedit?

Thanks again for the help and sorry for the extra questions

  4. to create ifos.

open ifoedit and at the bottom press create new ifos, when the new window appears make sure create one pgc is ticked and same as source is ticked, then find your vobs and of you go.

or rip the main movie vobs and the corresponding ifo and put them through dvd2one and that will sort your new ifos, if its small enough to fit a dvdr, dont worry it wont transcode it.
