vcd header trick question

was wondering if I have a psx vcd card, which some of u might know can only play vcd and not svcd, would doing the vcd header trick allow me to play it on my psx?

Probably won't work. See, the vcd-trick works on certain standalone dvd-players because the brand just refuses to play SVCD for copyright reasons etc. But by fooling the dvd-player into thinking its just vcd (Which is widely sold in europe, usa etc.) it will play the stream. A DVD-player can play MPEG2 Streams, which is what a SVCD is. So although the header is vcd and the dvd-player therefor starts playing it, it will stil require a mpeg2 decoder, which a VCD player for a PSX just doesn't has.
