    is there a dvd playert that plays avi files? copied to a cd?
    and could someone tell me what they think is the best dvd player to buy and price. That plays cdr cdrw, all layers everything a guy could want?

    No such player that I know of. Pioneer 343 or 434 might meet your needs.
