I have found that the first time I create a copy to DVD everything works fine. However if I try again there is a problem. Here is how to duplicate it.
1. Transcode to a DVD using the same destination folder for the .iso and the temp files.
2. Decide that the .iso image is too small and you want a better quality version.
3. Throw away the .mpg file that was made but keep the .iso file (just in case you want to keep it).
4. Rename the .iso file so tyhere is no conflict. In my case I renamed "THE_BOURNE_IDENTITY.iso" to "prevTHE_BOURNE_IDENTITY.iso.old"
5. Run forty-two again to get a larger file but save to the same folder as the first time.
6. Forty-two completes and there is no new .iso file but there is now a file named "1-THE_BOURNE_IDENTITY.mpg"
I have had this happen three times now with different discs.
Now, since it took over 70 hours to do the last run, how do I burn the .mpg file to DVD?
Thanks,
-Roger
I forgot to mention that this is w/ v1.51

Roger,
Use DiscomVOBulator to back up your DVD Movies, Bourne Identidy, should convert to 2 DVD-R's in about 3 hours. This is the movie only, but all one "really" needs for a backup. -

There has to be an easy way to burn the .mpg file though. I just do not know how.

Roger, Kai has found a split bug in 1.5.1 and 1.5.2. It has to do with an error in the split coding and results in a cue/bin not being created. There is a thread with this same subject where Kai said he is working on the fix

Any suggestions on how to burn the .mpg file? I would like to avoid another 3 days of processing if possible.

Each 42-created .mpg I've tried to demux using bbDemux crashes that program before it starts the audio files.
The demuxer in Missing Mpeg Tools splits out many different m2v and mp2 chunks, some with a zero size, and that doesn't look right.
What is an effective demuxing tool for 42-created .mpgs (coded to DVD format)? -

This is easy. Use Extractor 095 to create the audio and video file, this takes about 30 min. Then drop both files into Sizze to make your image; this takes about 30 min. I have done three movies with excellent results. 42 did an excellent job reducing movies ranging from 6 to 7 gigs down to 2.5 to 4.3 gigs and all are in sync. My complements to the developers; and yes, I have donated. Keep up the good work! Hope this helps.
