    When i try to encode a certain .avi file it says the error occurred when acm was initialised. The .avi file is a divx with ac3 audio. What do i do?

    you need to extract the audio from the avi, use avi to wav and then you will be fine...Tmpeg doesn't recognise ac3

    with the extracted audio, you will then need to convert to wave in an audio editing software program, like goldwave for example as it is still mp3 and not wav....
