hey guys i've been converting avi's to mpeg vcd format
i've been having a slight difficulty
every file i output, its not smooth play and stop for 1s every once in a while, it seems to slow down half its normal speed every 1/4 of a second or so therefore it looks choppy, i have a fast pentium 4, and no i dont lag it down during conversion, and i've also tried to set the process priority to use more CPU power
can anyone help me ? please and thanks~

I have had that problem happen when I used to try to convert my DV AVIs to MPEG-1. The difference was in the video bitrate in my case. That's as straight to the point as I can do for you.
