  1. I've been very happy with VS7 since Pinnacle S8 isn't up to snuff. The finished movie is of much better quality than ANY movie I have been able to make. Enough dissing S8.
After many successful burns with VS7, my latest project has hit a snag I can't figure out. After all is done and off to the create disc, the process converts video (27 min) in about 1.5 hours and whether I burn directly, burn to DVD folder or create disc image, after it completes the process at 100%, instead of going to "operation completed" I get the Microsoft error. I've defragged, used EndItAll and left the system alone during the process so these aren't it. I've got a dedicated 120 mg drive to do this with a 1.7 Dell system with 512 megs of ram.
    Any ideas where to look?

  3. I have had the same problem with ps8 when trying to burn a full dvd from avi files. I converted the .avi to svcd and burned a dvd that worked ok. I shouldn't have to do it that way, but it is the only way I could get thru the process without ps8 hanging up.

  4. Mrsash,
What info on my pc specs do you need.....I posted most of it in my original reply.
EndItAll is a program that quickly helps you remove programs from your task bar so as not to use system resources. Some memory intensive programs like DVD authoring need as much memory as possible.
You can find it here http://home.ptd.net/~don5408/toolbox/enditall/

I rendered my final project in VS7 and am now trying DVD MovieFactory 2 to burn it just to see if it's the movie that's a problem or the software.
I'll post again if it works...most likely in the morning since it will take hours to complete and I'm getting some zzzz's.
