  1. I have a large file that is iso and was wondering how to convert it to make a vcd/svcd ... or anything that I can put on a reg cd....

Not sure if it is a nero or easy cd creater and not sure if that matters...

I tried using DVD2AVI but could not get the audio .....

Try, if Daemontools can mount the iso or try isobuster to extract files.

  3. thnx dragonsf I will try it ......... will it convert it to a form I can burn such as mpeg or convert with tmpgenc......??

    thnx again

........>>>>I tried the isobuster and my result is as before --(I was prob not very clear to what I need) it resulted in two folders audio_ts and video_ts. The audio folder is empty and in the video_ts folder there are several files vob bup ect and I am unable to find a program or method to make them into mpeg to burn as a svcd or vcd.....

The files are in four or more parts and some are over 1 gig in size.... By just adding .mpg to the end I can watch it and it contains the audio but when I try to convert using any of my present tools ( dvd2avi, tmpgenc eovideo, vcdgear, virtual dub etc........ I can either not get it to work at all or can only get the video ........?? ...... no audio ...??

What I would like to find is either a one or two step method to take the iso and convert it to burn as a svcd....... As the file is larger than will fit on a regular cd I will need to cut .... etc...

    thnx again for any Help

With a mounted ISO thru Daemontools, you look at the iso, as if it were a CD.
If it's a SVCD, you can use tmpgenc with mpeg-tools and try to demux the avsegment (this is an avi). Not sure about VCD, but the .dat file should contain the mpeg-1 data as well.

For all I know, it may very well already be a (S)VCD. In that case - just burn it, and you'll have your (S)VCD.
An ISO is the ideal thing - it's meant to be put on a reg cd.

  8. The files are in four or more parts and some are over 1 gig in size....
This line from lrspinelli's post leads me to believe that he has an iso of a
dvd ...not a vcd/scvd. If it is indeed an iso of a dvd lrspinelli could just
use isobuster to extract the files to his drive then follow one of the dvd
to vcd/svcd guides. He would be able to skip the first step ,ripping .

    Good luck
