  1. Sorry if this question have been raised before. My situation is this:

    1) Edited AV tape created into AVI file format

    2) Using Tmpgenc with settings: ES (video+audio); dvd ntsc (mpeg-2 720x480 29.97fps VBR 5124kbps; layer-2 48000hz 256kps) created 2 files: M2V video file and mpeg audio file

    3) Using Nero 5.5.10.7b with settings: DVD-ROM (UDF); with "force dvd-video compatibility mode" UN-CHECKED; I placed the above 2 files in a folder called VIDEO_TS and burned it on a DVD-RW disc

The result......DVD not readable. What did I do wrong and what steps is missing? People in the forum suggested to use TMPgenc with ES video setting only, so how do I create the audio file? If I get the above to work, I would like to replace step 3) with Ulead Moviefactory 2 to add menus and to burn therefore I would like both the video and audio created by the same program to avoid in-sync problem.

    Thanks in advance!

  2. After more experiments, I found that if I want to use Moviefactory 2 to add menus (and to burn it on a DVD) after encoding by TMPgenc, I will have to use the SYSTEM (Video+Audio) setting instead of the ES. Why would one want to seperate the video and audio into 2 different files anyway?
