I am capturing material from Digital Cable and would like to have the Surround Sound 5.1 audio that is in the content. I am using a Canopus ADVC-100. Is this possible? If so, please tell me how.

I would like to do this also. I have a Sound Blaster Audigy and have been searching for ways to capture the 5.1 AC3 stream from my digital cable box which I have connected to the Audigy, and havn't been able to find a way to do so...

I read an article about this, if your card is a Digital TV Tuner Card, you can capture to a file format which easly converts to vobs without ANY encoding. It can then be burnt to a dvd or converted to just about anything using DVD rippind methods (exept don't rip the DVD) I'l tell you when I found it
