Hey Everyone,
I have been working on a backup of Armaggedon (trying to put it on one disk with a root menu) and I need help with the last step.
What I need to know how to do is how to demux the finished dvd2one vob files to both m2v and ac3 so that i can import them into spruceup, so I can add a title menu.
I have used the search button and people have suggested either vobedit or vobrater, but I can't find a guide for doing this and just need a quick set of insructions for the process.
Thanks in advance,

If I understand what you are saying why couldn't you use DVD2AVI.

I could do that...but from what i have read it will only do the ac3 file and leave me with a d?? file which I could load in tmpegenc or something.
I keep on doing searches and I read about vobedit or vobrator which will do this, but no one tells me the steps or the guide to do it right.
Also, I have read that smartripper will do it from the hard drive, dvd decrypter won't (unless I turn it into an iso and load it up with dameon tools).
So I guess smartripper is the choice for me right now...I just have to weigh whether I would rather have subtitles or a title menu? -
just use TMPGEnc. all you have to do is go to mpeg tools. the vob files won't show up inless you select all files but it will demux them into m2v and ac3 files.

Ghoster,
Thanks so much for the reply and now that I look at it, Tmpegenc will demux it in the mpeg tools section. I am just wondering now, if I have 6 vob files, will I get one m2v and one ac3 or 6 m2v and 6 ac3?
I would be more than happy to test it, I have just ran out of hard drive space right now, I have to make more room and i am just curious about the answer.
Thanks for everyone's help,

download Vobmerge it will make one big vob file out of your 6 vob files. so that way you will only have one m2v and ac3 file. not sure where i got it though.
