Whats the difference between dvdecrypter modes - File, IFO and ISO? When do I use each one?

Iso mode in dvd decrypter is for single layer/single sided dvds,all of which are the same size as a blank dvdr,so you could use dvd decrypter to create the iso file,then write the iso file straight to a blank dvdr.
Ifo mode i use to select only the main movie,and i also untick any extra audio tracks and subtitles i don't want.and selecting main movie files will extract the main movie plus all audio tracks and subtitles.
