I have a DVD movie image file created with Nero. The image was created from a DVD-R disc. When i try to burn this image with my ND-1100 DVD+R writer it won't fit, there is not enough room. The image file from Nero (.nrg) have the exact size of a full DVD-R disc no matter of the real amout of data the original DVD-R contained.![]()
Does anyone have any idea how to burn this image or edit .nrg files or mount them or whatever??
Tanx.

Hmm i'm not sure why it isn't working for you, tha max size for DVD-R and DVD+R is 4.36GB. Unless the disk you made a image for is a DVD9 it should work.
If it's DVD-Video try creating the image with DVD Decrypter and then burning it onto DVD.
If it isn't try creating the image with CopyToCd and then buring it.
P.S. I like to use RecordNow Max to copy DVDs and I have found no problems with it what so ever.
Hope this helps

Tanx for the tips BarryHL!!
The problem is that i no longer have access to the "original" DVD-R disc, so im stuck with this image created with NERO. The size of the image is 4,38 GB (4*707*627*164 byte) just a litte to big. The funny thing is that i have burned a image exactly like this one with a DVD-R burner and it worked perfectly.
Downloading RecordNow Max Demo to give it a shot! -
Use a program that can mount the image (I think alcohol 120%) can do it) and then use DVD Decrypter to rip it.
Or if the DVD isn't encripted use a program to view into the image (like Iso buster or WinISO)
Hope that helps.

Winrar can open up a *.iso files. And then you can extract the files to a location of your choice

I had the same problem but it was all DVD-R no DVD+R nero can not open file's larger then 4gig you can use ultraiso to open it up then burn the vob files like how you would rip a DVD I think it's better to rip DVD then to make image files

Some DVD+RW disks have slightly larger recording areas. I have recently purchased a couple of Sentinel DVD+RW's and the total recording area is reported by Nero as 4,484,138. Perhaps an idea would be to burn onto a rewriteable (if mounting the image fails).
The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know. -
Problem solved!!
I used UltraISO to convert my .nrg (nero image file) to .iso. The result is a file with the same size as the movie. From 4*707*627*164b to 4 503 358 122b. Then i used RecordNOW MAX to burn it..works like a charm!!
I must thank you all for your help and especially BarryHL and spiderman2k1 for the exellent software tips! Keep up the good work.

Hi Guys
It has been asked a thousand times and as many different ways but once again this time for the record.
* Question What is the size of a DVD+/- R/RW, is it 4.7 like it says?
* Answer DVD 5 is a single layer DVD that stores up to approximate 4 700 000 000 bytes and that is 4.37 computer Gigabytes where 1 kilobyte is 1024 bytes (4 700 000 000 / 1024 = about 4589843KB / 1024 = about 4482MB / 1024 = about 4.37GB). So why does it says 4.7 GB on the DVD Rs? Because they are not using Computer Gigabytes, they use standard kilo where 1 kilobyte is 1000 bytes. DVD-R/W and DVD+R/W supports this format.
