in the tutorial, for converting divx to mpeg...on step #3 (settings in the advance tab) its says to set the Source Aspect Ration to 1.1 (VGA) or if you have 4:3 select 4:3 525 line (NTSC) for NTSC or 4:3 625 line (PAL) for pal. which should i choose for my movie? (how can i tell) thanks in advance for the help

It all depends how you like to view your movies, If you want the picture to fill the screen use 4:3. If you want it in wide choose 16:9. I find that choosing 1:1VGA stretches the picture just too much. If the original film is 16:9 and you choose 4:3 it will fill the screen and choosing 16:9 if the film is already in that ratio will keep it so.(Obviously) Okay ?

Short answer is:
If you plan to play it on your PC choose 1:1 VGA
If you plan to play it on your TV choose 4:3 525line for normal screen.
If you plan to play it on your TV choose 16:9 525line for letter box.
If you have a 16:9 source and want to convert it to 4:3, you can do so here (although I'm not sure why, a lot of people like to do this).
