When capturing at 640*480, Huffav yield around 800M/s, which is about 48G/hr. I tried LEAD MJPEG, Lossless codec works even worse. I only have a 60G HD. So I need a codec which still treat every frame as keyframe but yields <40G/hr. It will be better <30G/hr. It will be even better that it can be encode later to SVCD,VCD and DivX quicker.
BTW: It seems impossible to keep "loseless", but I want to keep the most quality with the size restriction :P

I used the DV codec (MainConcept) to obtain good quality and easy editing, because not having a DVD burner, I store the master version on a DV tape.
In this way the editing is very fast and the size is the usual 13 Gb/hr.
To obtain this i had to change processor up to Athlon 1.2 GHz.
Also check the field order because I had to change it in the codec, coming from Hi8 tapes.
Hope it hepls
