  1. Hello !

Is it possible to burn SVCD content on a DVD disc ?

Meaning that I just burn a SVCD according to standart, just on a DVD ?

And if it is possible, can I include an avseq.mpg file larger than the standart 806 MB, or several of that size (SVCD's support multiple tracks) ?

I am asking because I want to know if it is possible to backup a movie that runs on 3 SVCD's onto one DVD without reencoding much (to DVD resolution etc.) .

Cheers , and thanks to whoever can supply an insight,

    Jan .
If, in a forest with noone in it, a tree fell, and it struck a mime, would anybody care ?

  2. Strictly speaking the answer to your question is No, you can not use a DVD-r as a big CD for SVCD. You can however put SVCD mpeg's onto DVD, with a bit of trickery. Take a look here:
