If you split something in 2, you'll end up with more (i numbers) than you started with - not much to do about that, I'm'fraid...

Do you mean you want to take out some scenes, maybe clip the avi a little but want to maintain one file?

actually wat i'm trying to say is.......
say there's a 100 mb/100 mins file and i want to split it into 2 scenes, first scene is 60 mins and the 2nd is 40 mins
i want a programme that just simply split it, which will leave me a 60 mins scene 1 and the 40 mins scene 2
not creating 2 whole new files (60mins and 40mins), and w/ the original still in the harddrive (100 mins)

it's like separating a bread......i mean u just break the bread in half, that's all
