I wonder if any of the experts can advise me on this one. I encoded a 5 minute clip of an avi and used MC to convert. I used the mpeg1, mpeg2, VCD and SVCD and burnt them all separately onto a CDRW disc.
When i come to play them in the DVD player the only one that plays correctly is the one saved out with VCD settings.
When I convert avi's using DVD2SVCD I have no probs like this (i use CCE) and they play in my DVD player which will play VCD and SVCD's.
Can anyone advise what I need to do to get SVCD output to play?
When I encode mpeg1 and burn to disc the playback screen looks as though there are hundreds of tiny rectangles looping about the screen!
By the way when I replay all the encoded samples via windows media player they all look fine.
I followed the instructions from the MC help file that i printed. I am obviously missing something out as everyone else in the forums appears to have no problems with MC.
I used the defaults settings as set by MC when loading the file.
This seems a wonderful speedy encoding tool providing I can get the darned thing to work properly.
An early response / any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers Tom
