  1. hello, i wasnt sure where to post this, but

    i recently burned an mpeg 2 with nero according to the svcd guide on dvdrhelp.com page. when i played the svcd in powerdvd, it played fine, but then i played it in the toshiba sd 5700 and it did not play, it said, error reading disc.

    i burned at 4x if thats any consequence, and the dvd player is compliant with svcd according to the compatibility page on dvdrhelp.com

    any ideas?

    Read the user comments in the dvd players list.

    They all say that you must use the vcd header trick to get svcds to work.
    http://www.geocities.com/newestmoviesencode/dvdvcd
    and burn to vcd with nero. (it will be svcd quality but with vcd headers)
