Can't convert Avi2Mpeg with TMPG

I can't convert Avi 2 Mpeg with TMPG.
When i try and open the avi file from TMPG, it just says media not supported, even though have the codecs installed and am able to watch them on WMP/The playa etc.

I had same prob mate you need to get tmpeg v12a
that should sort it out as I am now converting away

where can i get tmpga?only the b version is on there website

go to the "HOW TO" section on the left, click on the convert option, under "How to convert to vcd or xvcd mpeg"
click on the "How to encode to VCD with TMPGEnc beta 12e+" link, then scroll down until you see the "problems" paragraph, you will see on the last line in the first paragraph "TMPGenc 12a." underlined, click on that and it should take u to the download page

There will more then likely be a crack/patch available for it by then, just had a look for one, no luck though, probably as it's just been released.

Try astalavista after 30 day trial.
