Set the speed to 16x. Can this speed option affects the final output in terms of a jumping movie, small freezes, etc? (missing media burner)

it used to be that because of the complexity of an MPEG-1 stream that VCDs were suggested to be burned at low speeds as to reduce the chances/effects of lost data. However, for practical purposes, it doesn't matter.

  3. It has been my experience that recording speed can effect quality of the burn. It likely has to do with the drive you are using for the burn and not the software. For example I have a TDK 24x10x40 . Works great for burning at full 24x speed but I found that SVCD's with a lot of fast action did have a lot of errors. Dropping down and recording at 16x results in disks with no errors. This was on a PC using Nero and VCD easy burning software. I reasently put the TDK drive in a Firewire enclosure and tried using in OSX with missing media Burner and Toast. Both work fine and both have the 24x burning issue with SVCD's I have a Yamaha burner and it doesn't have this issue. Which leads me to belive it is the drives problem and not the software. The other person is correct that this used to be a big problem with older drives but the TDK is faily new so the problem still happens with some drives. You just have to test your drive and make adjustments for how it works.
