???? Panasonic DMR-HS2 HDD to DVD ?????

I just got one of these and read the whole book thru... i got all the editing down and i can get it to copy from tv to dvd.... but when i record something on to the hard drive and then try to copy it to dvd it says something about disk not compatible or cant copy to disk..... it even does it to the dvd ram tht comes with it... can anyone help me with this??????

sounds like you need to format the disc. It is in the main menu where you input title.

u cant format the disk till (suposley) after u burn the dvd.... also like i said if i hook up a live feed from tv or utv to the box it wll burn to dvd then.... it just dont burn from the hard drive

You should not have to format a DVD-R in order to dub material from the HDD to DVD. Are you sure you are using a DVD-R, not DVD+R, DVD-RW, or DVD+RW. Those media will not work, hence the "incompatible media" message.
