  1. I have a DVD that is much larger then the target size of 4.7gig DVD-R. I want to re-encode the VOBs so that all of them fit on the 4,7gig DVD-R. ffmpegX seems to only endcode one VOB at a a time. How do I have it re-encode the whole DVD from its current size to the 4.7gig? Can it handle all of the VOBs and reencode them at once?

    It seems like it cannot.

Also, when I try to re-encode a sinngle VOB, I want to it come out as a single VOB. Basically, I want the DVD as it is to be re-encoded to fit onto a 4.7gig DVD-R. Can this be done with ffmpegX?

    Thanks for your time,

    Flaffer

  2. Yes, you can reencode one VOB at a time. Use DVD preset on them (turn off "author as DVD" and enable "keep elementary streams". Then use Sizzle to author the DVD.
