I just backed up my fav. movie "The Hunt for Red October" and I was wondering if slight video quality degration was common for DVD2ONE. The dvd itself is a dvd-9 and so I converted it to 1 disc. Is there a way to not have any video quality loss without having to use POS dvdxcopy?

You can use the Split to 2 DVDR feature in Ifoedit
guide available at doom9.org -
Of course there will be degredation in quality when a DVD-9 is converted to a DVD-5 if the original main movie stream is greater than 4.3GB. Any further compression will create a quality loss.
If you want no qualit loss, you will have to spread over 2 DVDs using something like IFOEdit or DVDXCopy.
