    Simple question.
I have 80gb Hard Drive and a CD Writer/DVD Combo.
Obviously the Hard Drive goes on Primary Master.
But what about the CD Writer?
    Primary Slave or Secondary Master?
    Does it make a difference?

    Cheers

I would use the Secondary master. keep HD's on the same IDE and cd/dvd drives on the other IDE.

  4. I have 120GB WD HDD, TDK veloCD 321040x CD-RW, and LG DVD-ROM. Obviously, the HDD is the Primary Master. My DVD-ROM is Secondary master and DR-RW is secondary slave.

For you, your combo drive should be Secondary Master IMHO.
