High End DVD Player Feedback Wanted

I'm looking to buy a high end DVD player for my home theater system and any feedback would be nice. I prefer Pioneer but I am willing to go down other roads. As for the Pioneer I have a DVL-919 right now and I want to signifcicantly improve video quality and audio if I can. I've been considering the DV-37 or the DV-45A. Strictly video and audio wise, I want to know what people think is the better player, formats aren't the biggest deal to me, they both do DVD-R and all other formats that I need. Surprisingly the 45A is cheaper and does DVD audio as well. If anyone has any feedback on some high end DVD players no more than 1.5k, or in that area please leave a post, I would love to hear what you have to say.

Alright... I am going to suggest a different road...

If I was going to spend $1,5K I would buy the Panasonic HS2 for around $1K. You get a DVD player, HDD recorder and you can burn to DVD-R or DVD-RAM. I have one and the picture quality is excellent. It plays progressive and has component video out. Then I would take the rest and buy a decent reciever, you should get a nice one for $500 to 700.

I think you can try out the HS2 from Circuit City with no risk, just take it back within 30 days if you don't like it.
