I have always been a supporter of ULEAD products. In my opinion, they offer great features for the money.
I tried each of the next generation products: VideoStudio7, MovieFactory2, and DVD PictureShow2, and I am really disappointed.
MovieFactory2 has dropped support of xVCD and xSVCD. Between crashes it looks like a decent program, but I use xVCD all the time.
I have tried contacting ULEAD with no success. Anyone hear of a proposed update? Otherwise, I will stick with MovieFactory1

I don't do that much xVCD or sVCD, but I do agree that MF2 has seemed to take a huge step backwards as far as stability. Same lack of info here on requesting tech support.

My experience has been exactly the opposite. I didn't care too much for MovieFactory 1, and stopped using DVD Workshop 1.2 because of all the crashes (1.3 didn't help).
MovieFactory 2 has been solid as a rock. Not had a single crash yet.
Only 2 problems I've had are:
1. Buffer underruns when burning a disc, even though my burner has buffer underrun protection and I check the box in DMF2 to enable it. I get around this by just creating the VIDEO_TS with DMF2 and burning with Nero.
2. Sometimes takes forever to reach a desired spot in the movie when adding chapter markers. Not anything major that brings my project to a halt, just a bit annoying.
