DVD-10 (flippers)

Hi,
Can anyone give a relative newbie advice on how to copy a DVD-10 (flipper) to a single DVDr.
There is a link to ifoedit.com and a guide, but I must be a bit on the think side, because it loses me after the first line and nothing by way of pictures to guide.
Anyone have any very straight forward AND simple guides, please let me know.

I believe there is a guide floating around here that uses dvd2one to do that.

Ive just backed up a double sided dvd to dvdr (Starship Troopers)using this method.
Put all the main movie vobs together (which entails re-naming the 2nd set of vobs in numerical sequence)in a folder, then ad to this the 1st side's VTS_1.0.ifo file (I found including this file gives ifoedit some place to start). Then in ifoedit select 'create new ifo's' and point it to the 1st vob. Once processed I had a valid titleset of about 6Gb in size, ran this through dvd2one to get to 4.36Gb then burned.

Hmm did you test it to make sure the whole thing works, as far as I can see it shouldn't. For Example:

if side A has files VTS_01_01.vob[ID=1], VTS_01_02.vob[ID=2], VTS_01_03.vob[ID=3]

And side B has files VTS_01_01.vob[ID=1], VTS_01_02.vob[ID=2], VTS_01_03.vob[ID=3]

Then if you just rename the side B files you will get VTS_01_01.vob[ID=1], VTS_01_02.vob[ID=2], VTS_01_03.vob[ID=3], VTS_01_04.vob[ID=1], VTS_01_05.vob[ID=2], VTS_01_06.vob[ID=3].

The last 3 files shouldn't work because the IDs are 1, 2 and 3. You have to change the IDs to 4, 5 and 6.

which brought me right back to the guide that I referred to in my original posting.
Whilst the guide maybe good to those who know how to use ifoedit and know what their talking about, for some of us, the guide itself assumes that we know a lot more.
Anyone out there gotta a step by step guide that we newbies can follow, it's clearly a subject that a few of us are interested in, as there's been at least 400+ views of this question.

The guide is well written and very straight-forward.

Exactly what is the part which is causing the problem or confusion? I find it hard to believe that you could be confused after the first line in the guide.

Ok, ok so it might seem straight forward to you and obviously other's like you, I suppose I'm just used to guide's like Baldrick et al, that basically 'hold your hand' and show you exactly what they mean step by step with piccies.
I did say I was a newbie to all of this DVD ripping
But guy's thanks for taking the time to read this and post your answer's.
I will take the time to read through all your replies, step-by-step, and see how I go on with it all (and yes, re-reading the ifoedit guide).
But don't be surprised if I post yet another question along the same lines

I'm with sxj on this - its NOT easy - I've followed it exactly several times with several different disks and I've failed every time

"We want to get it to one side. First you need the check out, which is the last VOB-ID on side A.
So load VTS_01_4.VOB of side A into VobEdit, and scroll down to the last Navigation Pack. The last VOB-ID in that case is VOB-ID Nr: 2
Okay, so the file VTS_01_1.VOB of side B must start with VOB-ID: 3"

eh? easy?

I end up every time with an ifo file which shows the extra vobs as an additional movie but when I run it through DVD2one afterwards, it selects only what was the original side one.

any ideas?
