  2. DVDX Copy is faster and retains the original quality. The downside is some movies will have to be split into two disc's. If you don't care about the menus or DVD extras then DVD2one is perfect and damn fast.

I would recommend Instant Copy hands down.

    1) You can choose what you want and what you dont want in more detail with Instant copy. Not just which title sets but which audio, which subtitles (throw out all except your own language, etc) . No option for that in DVDXCOPY.

    2) No matter what you choose with Instant Copy, you will get 1 disk. That is it compresses whatever you have picked down to that rate.

DVDXCOPY forces you to two disks for most movies because unless they are pretty short (1.5 hours) DVDXCOPY is going to force creation of the second disk.

    3) DVDXCOPY is faster by far, but again, that is because NO CONVERSION is occuring.

    4) DVDXCOPY puts a nasty little header on your movies saying THIS IS A DVD BACKUP !!!! etc...

DVDXCOPY is not a bad tool, but you just get so much more iwth instant copy.

I have run the tests on
    DVDXCOPY
    DVD2DVDR
    DVD2ONE
    Instant Copy 7

and I think pound for pound dollar for dollar, Instant copy has the edge.

    Just my opinion

Instant Copy 7 there is a Demo you can try DVD2ONE there is a demo to try there is no Demo for DVDXCOPY just think of watch the same movie on two DVD's DVDXCOPY does not encode just split the DVD in to two DVD's

  6. Besides - DVDXCopy has gone to the dark side, with digital watermarks, and extra "Do not copy" banners.

  8. I would go with Instant copy 7 all the way. you just can't beat it for the options it gives you and the price. As for the Burner I absolutely love my Sony DRU500AX well worth the 3 week wait.. not one coaster yet. except for some bad Memorex dvd-r I got..

  9. Well I'm one of the few I guess that don't care about the menus or extra's. Also I don't care to wait 150 minutes or more to get a backup file when DVD2one does it in 15 minutes. Also my past experience with Pinnacle tells me to stay away from Instant Copy.
